Must have High School diploma or equivalent

Minimum of one year of related experience; experience in a Montessori setting preferred but not required

Evidence of continuing education to include meeting all necessary requirements as established by state law and regulatory agencies

Must be able to stand, bend, lift, and supervise children outdoors for extended periods of time

Within first 30 days of employment must be able to meet all necessary requirements as established by state law and regulatory agencies

Classroom Assistant

The Classroom Assistant provides support of the implementation of authentic Montessori practice with an understanding and appreciation for the Montessori philosophy. The Classroom Assistant will support the Montessori Lead Guide to maintain a classroom and instructional program that supports the individual needs of the children, challenging each one to reach their full potential.

Bachelor’s degree or 120 semester hours of approved college credit or a Bachelor’s degree equivalence as determined by an independent agency authorized to evaluate foreign credentials

Elementary certification from AMI, AMS or MACTE accredited training facility

Must be a self-motivated team player

Excellent communication skills

Must be able to stand, bend, lift, and supervise children outdoors for extended periods of time

Elementary Montessori Guide

The Montessori Elementary Guide leads the classroom for 6-12-year-old students, directing academic, emotional, and physical activities in a prepared environment. Responsibilities include presenting the curriculum, participating in parent education and conferences, record-keeping, and assessments. The Guide supports individual needs, adhering to Montessori philosophy and the school's mission and vision.

The Montessori Primary Guide leads the classroom for 3-6-year-olds, directing academic, emotional, and physical activities in a prepared environment. Responsibilities include presenting the curriculum, participating in parent education and conferences, record-keeping, and assessments. The Guide supports individual needs, adhering to Montessori philosophy and the school's mission and vision.

Infant/Toddler Montessori Guide

The Montessori Infant/Toddler Guide leads a team that provides nurturing care for young children and properly addresses their developmental needs.  The Guide must help direct children in their care with activities that support them academically, emotionally, and physically in a prepared Montessori environment in accordance with the Montessori philosophy and methods.

    • Lead Guide - $45,000 - $75,000

    • Classroom Assistant - $28,000 - $50,000
