A Legacy of Trust: 10 Years and 3 Children at White Flint
"My name is C. Curtis, and I am the parent of one current and two former students at White Flint Children’s House (WFCH) in Rockville, MD. Over the past ten years, my three children have attended WFCH, and I have had the privilege of serving as a Homeroom Parent during that time. With over 20 years of professional experience supporting early childhood programs nationwide, I deeply appreciate the dedication and ongoing efforts required to maintain excellence in childcare. WFCH consistently demonstrates a commitment to quality through rigorous state certifications and national accreditation, and I am grateful for the school's continual pursuit of high standards.
From the moment we first walked through the doors, we were welcomed into a nurturing and vibrant community that values every child’s individuality. The warmth and support we’ve received have made us feel right at home, and our children have thrived in this positive environment.
We explored several childcare programs in Montgomery County before enrolling our children at WFCH, and none have matched the consistent quality and nurturing environment found here. After our eldest child transitioned from WFCH to public school, it was clear that we wanted our younger children to benefit from the same outstanding experience. WFCH provides a warm, engaging, and safe learning environment that supports the growth and curiosity of children ages 18 months to 6 years old.
Throughout our time at WFCH, we have seen remarkable growth in our children. Academically, our children have thrived, building a solid foundation in math, language, and creative expression that has prepared them well for future learning. Communication between the school and families is clear and consistent... We truly appreciate the school’s partnership with parents and the respectful, supportive relationships set between home and school.
The quality of the school environment is evident in every aspect... The open-door policy invites families to actively participate in the classroom, celebrate cultural diversity, and engage in special activities, all of which strengthen our sense of community and belonging.
Communication and professionalism at WFCH are outstanding. As a Homeroom Parent, I have always felt comfortable reaching out to the head of school, Ms. Margaret, who is approachable, responsive, and genuinely invested in the well-being of every child and family.
I wholeheartedly recommend White Flint Children’s House to other families. Once you are a part of this community, children are always welcomed back as alumni and our family looks forward to the years ahead where we can come back, hug each teacher and reconnect with friends we made over the years."

From Timid Beginnings to a Confident, Kind Leader
"My name is J. W., and I am the parent of a child at White Flint Children's House (WFCH). My son has been a student at WFCH since 2023. He is 5½ years old and currently enrolled in the school’s kindergarten program. He was born during the COVID-19 pandemic... when our son turned three, we felt he would benefit from more social engagement.
To be honest, we discovered WFCH out of convenience... However, when we toured the facility, we were immediately impressed. I learned that a large majority of the staff had worked at the school for at least ten years, and many for as long as 20–25 years. I found that extremely impressive. The children were happily engaged in activities and working independently.
In the fall of 2023, we enrolled our son in the Early Childhood program. At that time, he was timid in new situations. During a 'meet and greet' before the start of the school year, Ms. Margaret quickly recognized this and felt he would benefit from a smaller classroom setting. She placed him in the Oak Room, which proved to be a wonderful fit. His Teacher was incredibly patient and nurturing with him. It was very comforting to see how observant and thoughtful the school leadership is in addressing both the needs of the children and the concerns of parents.
White Flint Children’s House is truly unique... The timid little boy I once described has grown into a bright, kind, and well-rounded individual. While I would love to take full credit, it has truly been a team effort.
Our son is now in kindergarten and one of the oldest students in his class. He is reading beautifully and is enthusiastic about math... He loves maps and can name nearly any country you point to. I won’t be modest, he is bright and has a genuine love of learning. More importantly, he has developed a strong character during his three years at WFCH. He is kind, accepting, independent, and a thoughtful problem solver.
Recently, we attended a birthday party where one of his classmates and his mother were present. This child has special needs. At school each afternoon, all kindergarten students gather upstairs, and our son makes a point of finding this child and reminding him it is time for kindergarten. He will not go upstairs without him. They hold hands and walk together."
